Dip Powder Nails!

                         Let's Talk.......

                    Dip Powder Nails

Hello everyone.  Lately we have been talking about acrylic nails.  Today, I have a different type of acrylic nails to talk about.  I am going to be showing you all nails that were doing using the Dip Powder System.  You notice that some are have polish and others are just colored powders.  Since they are "acrylic" powders, I found that you can use regular acrylic powders to do the dip system as long as you still follow the steps of the dip system and not monomer.  Without further ado, let's get to it.

This Square shaped set was all dip powder.  Most of the nails are done with this very pretty blue shade with one nail on both hands done with a black.  When doing any color it is good to finish it with a clear coat, just like you would do on regular acrylic nails.  You do this so you don't file off any of the color or design.  Both black colored nails have a sticker decal. When I was finished, I put a clear top coat on the nails to give them a shine.

This Almond shape set is also all dip powder.  Most of the nails are done with a pink rose color dip powder with one nail on each hand done with this beautiful silver color, and capped with a clear coat.  Again, when finished, I applied a clear top coat.

This Almond shape set is done with dip powder and regular polish.  What you don't see is that the nails are done with a clear base for that nice strong structure like you would do if you were using acrylic powder with polish.  When I do the nails like that, when finished, I file down to smooth it out and buff.  Just like regular acrylic, when you use the dip powder system, it can take the shape of your nails and make them rough so, be sure to go back and re-shape. I use my favorite nail polish by China Glaze, only the blue one.  The other color is not by China Glaze but it was a pretty color.  Finish with a top coat and done.

This Square Rounded set was done with clear base dip powder.  After applying the clear powder, I shaped, filed, and smoothed out the nail.  After the nails were smooth, I did a free handed nail polish art.  I did not free hand the rose, that is a decal.  This is the type of decals I love.  They are not stickers.  These decals are like fake tattoos, you just dip them in water for about 20 seconds and separate it from the paper then place it on the nail.  When finished, put a top coat on it and done.

Well, that's it.  I hope you all enjoyed them and I can't wait to share more with you all.  Until next time folks.........

Acrylic Nails

                            Let's Talk
                                 Nails!

Hello my lovely bloggers.  Today we are talking about nails again.  I know it has been a little while since I've posted anything, but here we are.  I'm thinking about vlogging, but first I would need a recorder and know how to edit when needed and I don't have that. May be I could just find a tripod to hold my phone but I may have to do editing and I'm not really sure how to do that with a phone.

Ok, so let's get started.
I'm a big fan of dark colors and that includes brown.  These are my nails and they are a full set of acrylic with dark brown china glaze nail polish and a tan-ish color on one nail.  There are two nails with a sticker nail decal. Every since I've been doing at least my own nails, I've learned that the sticker decals are not my favorite. When it's time to change the polish, it doesn't come off. You would have to e-file it or use a nail file to get it off.

These are also my nails.  This was my christmas look.  Still a full set of acrylic with china glaze polish.  I was going for this Christmas tree look that I have seen on Pinterest and it just didn't work out. I got really close but not as pretty as I was hoping for. Well, Christmas only comes once a year so I have plenty of time to perfect it.

These hands belong to a young lady whose nails I did sometime last year before christmas. These are a full set of acrylic nails with polish and a sticker decal.  This set was my first long set so it was a little different for me.  Though I love China Glaze polish, the white pearl color is not by China Glaze.  I don't know if you can tell, but this set has some imperfections.  Also, when doing these nails, I did not own a drill (e-file) so everything (filing wise) was free handed.  As I was doing the acrylic application, I realized that I missed a step.  With that being said, I was told that there was at least four nails that broke off before a whole week went by.  I'm 100% sure it was due to the fact that I missed one or two steps.

Well folks, that is all for today.  I will be posting more nails soon.  Til next time.......

Nails

                      Let's Talk Nails!

Hello everyone! I know it's been while since I last posted anything, but I've gotten really excited about doing nails lately and I wanted to share.  When I say doing nails, I don't mean just polish and be done. I mean acrylic nails, gel nails, and everything else that follows.

I have been doing my own nails for as long as I can remember.  I tried acrylic first when I was about 15 or 16 years old. I was really bad at it and didn't have the proper tools to correct my mistakes.  So, I began to use full coverage nails and polish.  It still made my nails look really pretty, but as I got older I wanted more.  I would go to the shop and get acrylic nails done and try to watch them do it so I could do my own and stop paying all that money every 2 weeks for a fill.  Still, that didn't help.  I later found out about Gel nails.  When I saw them doing the gel, I couldn't believe how easy it was to do gel.  I started to do my own nails and was really good at.  I haven't been to a shop in over 5 years.

My daughter is loving her nails right now.  She is a nail bitter and bits pretty far down.  She started doing full coverage nails and was asking me to start doing her nails.  While at first it was no walk in the park.  There wasn't enough natural nail for anything to stick.  So, I started to watch a ton of youtube channels.  Believe me when I say they have helped.

My favorite channels to watch is, Nail Career Education, Natalie Carmona, Nailed by Nikki, and Naio Nails.  I started with Ms. Suzie (Nail Career Education).  She has taught me so much.  I've been able to do my daughter's nails for the last 3 to 6 months now.  I love doing nails!  I'm self taught but I really want to go to school for it and become even better at what I love doing.

These are the first set of nails I did on myself after watching a ton of videos by Ms. Suzie.  I did pretty good if I may say so myself.

This is the first set of acrylic on my daughter.  The top is just the white acrylic and the bottom is the same but with polish.  There was a lot of imperfections and there was lefting.  A few came off and they had to be redone.  However, they lasted longer than her full coverage nails.  those would start coming off after a day or two.  The acrylics took at least 4 to 5 days before one came off.  I think the problem was too much near the cuticle and no primer.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed this post, but that is all for now.  Next, I will be talking about some other acrylic nails I have done.  Until next time folks.......

My Story Part 4 The End

                           LET'S TALK

I kept asking myself, "What will it take to say something, anything, to someone?"  I was ashamed for feeling the way that I felt.  I was ashamed for letting it continue, for not telling anyone even though I had so many chances.

I was at school one day with my brain on over drive.  Not realizing that this would be the day that I finally speak up.  It was D.A.R.E. day, and someone was in our classroom.  When they were done talking about peer pressure, I burst into tears.  That was it!  I couldn't take it anymore.  It took for something completely unrelated to my issue to make me talk.  Finally, I brake free and brake my silence.  Only, not completely, because I would have to relive every aching moment when this all goes to trail.

I didn't know I would have to talk about those moments over and over again.  I didn't know that others would care so much about what had happened to me.  I didn't know that I would be blamed for something I didn't do, something I didn't ask for, and more importantly, something I didn't want.  Our lawyer came over a few times before we were due in court.  For a child, court can be scary.  This was no ordinary court.  This was Air Force Base court.  I was asked to explain everything that happened on all three days and like I did just with everyone reading, I explained everything?

When I was released from the stand, I was walked back to where my family was.  As soon as we went through the doors, the Smith family was sitting there.  I remember Mrs. Smith crying and when she noticed me walking by, she said to me, "Why are you doing this?  Why are you hurting our family like this?"  I felt so bad that I myself wanted to cry.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I did, but not in front of them.  I wanted to apologize and I wanted to be anywhere but there.  That was the only time I had to appear in court, from what I can remember.  I don't know what happened to Mr. Smith or if anything happened at all.  All I know is that the rest of the smith family moved and when school was over,  so did we.  My childhood was ruined by this man and I was never the same after that.  I'm not telling this story, my story, for people to feel sorry for me or to apologize for what I've been through.  It wasn't your fault, you weren't there.  I'm telling my story because I want people to know it's ok to talk to someone.  It's ok to let it all out.  I'm telling my story because I would want my children to tell me if something like this happened to them.  If they felt that they couldn't talk to me, I pray they tell someone.  Keeping all that stress inside and bottled up and allowing it to keep happening can make things so much worse than they have to be.

Unfortunately, there's a statue of Limitations on rape and other sexual assaults so, please don't wait too long.  It's hard, believe me, I know.  Make sure your kids know that it will be hard for them to talk about it, but you are there for them always.  Make sure they know it's not their fault and that you love them and they are loved.  Let them know it's ok to talk about it.  Watch for the signs.  Some signs will be jumping when touched, don't want to be around certain people, even if it  is a family member or a close friend.  There are signs, please pay attention.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.  It took a lot to do this.  I thought I was over this, I thought I forgave this man, and I thought this was done.  I was wrong.  I still feel this self hatred for not speaking up sooner.  I still feel this pain for letting it continue.  I also feel pain from opening up.  I know that I shouldn't, but how can I sit here and feel good about messing up a happy family.  I hope they found some clarity and peace.  I also hope that, if he did this to someone else, he has paid for his actions.  I hope justice has been served.

I pray that if anyone is going through this or anything similar, they have the strength to speak up and tell someone.

My Story Part 3

                                                   LET'S TALK
                                              MY STORY PART 3

Continued from last week...........

After that day, I just carried on like nothing ever happened.  I never told anyone.  I pretended as if it never happened and it wouldn't happen again.  I tried to avoid going next door at all cost.  I played with other friends as long as I wasn't grounded.  That is until I was left alone at home.  Mr. Smith came by asking for some sugar.  I went to fill his bowl up with sugar when he sat down on the couch.  When I was finished, he grabbed me, pulled me closer to him, and sat me on his lap.  I kept telling him no and he needed to leave, but he kept saying, "I will in a minute.  No one will ever know I was here."  He strated kissing me and touching me everywhere.  When he finally left, all I could do was clean up and wash up.  At this point, I no longer felt comfortable around his family.  I wanted to say something to someone, but was too afraid to speak up.  It always felt weird hanging around Ashley.  Things were even more uncomfortable when I went to her girl scout meeting with her and her mother, Mrs. Smith.  I don't remember why I was there, but I remember wishing I wasn't.  I stopped hanging out with Ashley to avoid seeing Mr. Smith, but somehow, that still didn't work.  I often wondered if she was hurt by me not wanting to hang out with her.  What could I have said to her?  That's what I was afraid of.  I doesn't matter if I tried to tell her why I wasn't playing with her or if I told anyone else what was happening, the end result would have been me not playing with her anymore anyway.  I was afraid of.  I was afraid of breaking her heart.  Afraid of breaking up their family.  I was also afraid of my family not believing me.  I've told some lies and stole stupid stuff.  I mean, I was a kid, who hasn't done that?

As I have said before, I was grounded a lot for many reasons.  I got myself suspended from school and was in big trouble.  Besides being grounded, my punishment was cleaning the whole house.  Each day I had certain things I had to do.  Mr. Smith found out and said that my dad could send me over to his house too and do some cleaning.  I tried to tell my dad no and I wanted to say why, but I couldn't.  Instead, I did what I was told.  When I went over to Mr. and Mrs. Smith's house, I saw Ashley sitting at the table doing her homework.  After a little while, Mr. Smith asked me to clean his room.  This time, it was different. This time it was worse.  I finished his bathroom and he closed the door to his bedroom.  He pulled down my pants and underwear and laid me down on his bed.  He put his mouth down there first.  Then, for the first time, he tried to put his penis inside me.  It hurt so bad, but he couldn't go all the way.  So, he went back to just touching and fingering.  My older Step sister, Kylie, was told to come get me.  All I could think was, "Thank God this is over and I can go home."  Again, I said nothing.

Continue to read and find out how I finally spoke up and told someone.

My Story Part 2

                                    Part 2 LET'S TALK
                           This is my Story

So, last week I gave you all an intro of my story that I'm going to tell.  Let's begin........

My childhood, like many others, was average.  Nothing fancy.  Our house was full of life and laughter. Our neighbors were all kind.  My father was a member of the Air Force so, we lived on base in Arkansas.  Our neighbor on the left of us is where my story gets dark.  Before I continue, No real names will be listed and dates will not be given........meanly because I don't remember.

As parents, we worry about our children all the time.  As children, on the other hand, we don't have a care in the world. Living on base, surrounded by other Air Force men and women, you should feel safe, right?  You should be able to trust your neighbors or, at least we thought we could.
I was about 11 or 12 years old when my childhood was ruined.  There were several days that seemed as if they would never end.  The first day when I knew my childhood would never be the same from this day forward was when my friend's father asked to a room by myself.

It was warm outside in Arkansas. I wasn't considered a well behaved young lady so, I was always in trouble and grounded. My little sister and I were friends with our neighbor's youngest daughter, Ashley.  On Saturday afternoon, my sister, Kara and I went next door to play with Ashley.  We were inside for a little while and we started to head outside to the backyard.  As we walked down the hallway, I was stopped by Mr. Smith.  He asked me to come to the spare bed room for a moment.  I'm not sure why I did, but being a child and all, you do what you're told when an adult is talking to you as long as they are not strangers.  I had no idea why he asked me to come in there with him, but when he closed the door ad locked it, I no longer felt safe.  I kept looking outside, wishing I was out there and not in this room.  I told Mr. Smith that I wanted to go outside and he said, "You will shortly."  He then asked me to lay down on the bed.  After I laid down, he put his hand down my shorts and began to touch me where no one should ever touch a child.
He undid my shorts, pulled down my shorts and my under wear.  He continued to touch me down there while he rubbed my chest.  He then began to put his mouth down there.  I'm not sure how long this went on, but it seemed as if this took forever.  Eventually, he let me go and play.  As I got older, I kept asking myself why I didn't tell my father when Mr. Smith let me go?  My life wasn't threatened by him or anything like that.  As a child, I believe I was just scared.

That's all I'm sharing for now.  I will post again next week.  Thank you for reading.

My Story Part 1

                                                                         LET'S TALK!

There's a lot of us out there with stories to tell.  Some of us don't want those stories being told. Meanwhile, others don't know how or where to start.  Many of us have happy, joyful stories.  Others have painful, unthinkable stories.  I have a story.  My story is painful and for years I've held it all in.  When I was younger, I began to tell my story, but as far as I can remember, that story was never finished.  A few days ago, I thought about writing a book about it.  Now, I'm not to sure about that process.

I have some fears in my life.  When I was younger, I only had two; my dad and heights. Now that I'm older, my fears are heights, failure, and my children going through what I went through.  Failure is a fear that came to play when I was thinking about writing a book about what happened to me when I was about 11 or 12 years old.  If you haven't figured it out by now, my story is what every parent fears for their children.  It's an ugly and nasty word.  It's an act of sexual violence and no child or adult should ever have to worry or think about.  It's something no parent should have to fear, but it happens and it doesn't have an age preference.

I've been to court but I only remember one day or two.  I don't recall anything happening to this guy.  I don't believe he stopped either.  I understand that I may be a little too late with trying to tell my story, but the way I see it, better late than never.  It may even sound brave of me to want to talk about it.  It may even help younger girls and some older women to want to speak up on what has happened to them.   I will tell my story, but not today.  My story will be broken up only because it's a long one. It could take three days or may less.  If you are interested in reading about it, then stay tuned.

My story is ugly.  It's not meant for sympathy, or tears.  I'm not looking for anyone to apologize about what happened to me, it wasn't your fault.  I don't want money, or anything else. I just want tell my story and finally let it all go.  I don't have a problem with talking about it, I have a problem with letting it go.  I thought I had let it go when I went to bible study one time, but unfortunately, it's still there.

Thanks for reading........Let's Talk

Batman v Superman! What?

Have you seen the movie yet? Was it as good as you thought it would be? Did it disappoint you like it disappointed me?  Well, I'm about to talk about this action packed disappointment, so if you haven't seen it yet and you still plan on seeing it, read at your own risk.

Batman v Superman was a good movie............No really it was.  It met all my "Action Packed" expectations.  Are you ready for what I didn't like? First of all, who thought it was a good idea to have Ben Affleck play as Batman? I will wait while you try to figure that out.  That question that Batman asked Superman, "Tell me, do you bleed?"  Hello!!!!! We all know he can as long as you have some kryptonite.  That's a line that could've been cut.  I have to give some positive views to this movie.  I loved Wonder Woman.  Her appearance was amazing and I can't wait til her movie comes out.  Ms. Gal Gadot played an amazing Wonder Woman and I'm so pleased to know and say that she will be playing the same role in the official Wonder Woman movie in the summer of 2017.  Mr. Lex Luther (played by Jesse Eisenberg) was the worst Lex Luther I've ever seen!  I don't believe it is completely his fault. I believe that he would have made an awesome Lex, but his personality was too many characters in one.  When ever I saw Lex, it was like one minute it's Lex, then it's the Joker, and then it's Two Face! WTF! Let's not forget that fact that in any Superman movie or comic or show, Lex already knew Clark Kent a.k.a Superman, however, in this movie, Lex was meeting everyone for the first time but knew their names and their double lives. I was not a fan of the way Lex was portrayed, that was the biggest disappointment of the entire movie and because of that, I give the movie 4 stars.

I would like to comment to those of you who feel that Batman won that fight, remember, he was only winning because he had Kryptonite. So, if you think about it, he was cheating, not that it would have been a fair fight to begin with. Also, notice I didn't mention Superman (played by Henry Cavill). Every since he played Superman in Man of Steel, I have enjoyed his role. I think he plays the role very nicely, no complaints.

Til next time folks!

It calms me, makes me feel free, feel creative. I find myself getting better at it too! Now, I know I have shared a few cakes that I've done, but I have some that are more resent.

I love doing this. I'm trying to help support my family and work for myself. I hope you guys are doing well and I hope you all enjoyed the picures I've shared with you. Til next time.........LET'S TALK!

Let's Talk Plexus!

It's the year 2015 and the holiday season is over. In this new year I'm ready to see what Plexus can do for me. I love this product, it has already done so much for me in almost 2 months of taking it. I have read and heard other great testimonies like some women have lost as much as 10-15 pounds in only 3 weeks. That's amazing, right? Everyone's bodies work differently so if you are trying it or you're wanting to try it and it doesn't work as good as you were hoping, guess what? We have a Money Back Guarantee. If you don't like it or it's not working for you within the 60 time frame, you can send it back and get your money back. No harm no foul.

Like I was saying, everyone's bodies work differently, I'm living proof of that. Within the month and a half that I have been taking these products, so far I have only lost 4 pounds. I'm not 100% sure on the inches lost but I've dropped a whole pants size. For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with weight loss. I've tried so many things and so many different products (none of which offered my money back) and nothing would work for me. I even had a Gym membership and only got as far as 5 pounds lost and it took about three months to get there. My first 3 pounds was gone in just 3 weeks. So what's holding you back from losing the weight you want or need to? If you want more info, please inbox me and I will be happy to share.

If you can read any pictures above, there is even a test you can take just using a glass of water and your own spit, crazy right?  If you want to jump start your weight loss plan before summer or just get healthier, This is one way to start.  There is so much more info out there about all these products that it's just too much to put into this topic right now.  Plexus has so much to offer for your health and wellness, you could even become an ambassador and save even more.  If you are interested in any of the products or if you want to join my team, just leave a message or go to my website at www.plexusslim.com/dawnsking.

That's it for now everyone.  Again, if you are interested, please let me know.  I can answer any questions you may have.  If I can't give you an answer, I have a great team that can help me help you.  Til next time folks........

Plexus

Have you heard of this new product that is helping america lose weight and type 2 diabetes patients regulate their blood sugar levels?  Well, if you just keep reading I will fill you in on some of the info.
                        Let's talk Plexus!

I joined the team of Plexus almost a month ago.  About a week an half into the product, I went to see my doctor.  When my weight was taken, I was completely amazed by the results.  I lost 3 pounds!  I know it doesn't seem like a lot but when you struggle with weight loss and you have tried everything you can think of, 3 pounds is a lot.  I have tried almost everything.  I went from paying for a membership at a gym (where I only lost 5 pounds) ordering all kinds of dietary supplements online.  Of course the gym was a big disappointment and the supplements was costly if you wanted to stay on them for 30 days.
This is true.  Any and everything you want or need to be the person you wish to be is going to cost, but if what you are doing isn't working and you end up in the hospital or having to go to the doctor, it's going to cost you more.  Sometimes even your life if you do nothing.  There are so many different ways to lose weight and not ever body can do the same diet.  With plexus, you have to change the way you eat, you don't even have to change what you eat.  Sounds too good to be true right?  Like I said, I'm currently taking this product and I assure you, I didn't change a thing about what or how I ate.  How did it work for me?  Simple, I drink my Slim and take my Accelerator+ together and that's it!

If you can read the pic above it explains so much about plexus slim.  What I love about it is the fact that it helps me control my cravings for sweets.  I love pastries and I always crave something sweet.  With plexus slim I don't crave them anymore and it is helping.  Not to say that you can't eat it (cause you can), but you won't want to.  These products are all natural and some people are losing more weight with this product.
As I said before, there is a whole line of products that work to help lose weight.  However, these products can also help with some minor health issues as well.  Do you suffer from high cholesterol or lipid, or may be just seasonal allergies, or gerd (constant heart burn)?  Plexus can help with that too.  There is a product called ProBio 5.  The pic above only list a few things it helps with, but it does so much more.

Want to try this out for yourself?  Need more info?  Go to www.plexusslim.com/dawnsking
Or just write a comment and I will get to you as soon as I can.  That's it for now folks, til next time......

                                                              Racanelli's Pizza

I've had a lot of different pizzas and some of them were good and some not so good.  There were joints that claim the use "fresh" ingredients and others that really did.  Some even said the may have the best sauce or even the crust.  Not all of them could own up to their promises.  Do you remember when Dominoes Pizza had all those crazy ideas for pizza flavor?  I once tried their Philli Cheese Steak and it wasn't that bad, but I never ordered it again.  Now Papa John's Pizza is doing the same thing, coming up with different pizza flavors.  I'm not saying that it is a bad thing, it's always good to try something different, but a Philli Cheese Steak?

So, the hubby decided that we should try out this new pizza joint named Racanelli's and let me tell you guys this place is great.  I thought I was a huge fan of Papa John's but now, I'm a fan of Racanelli's.  They serve New York Style Pizza, now to my knowledge, I haven't had a "New York" style pizza, but that's to say that they aren't.  You can dine in or order out.  They even have Calzones.  The last time I had one of those was from Pizza Hut and they are still good.  I plan on trying Racanelli's calzones next time I go there.  It was a great experience.  Their service was great and place was clean.  One of the things I liked was their little saying that was printed on the go boxes.

                                                                 "The Master-Piece!"

"It's Not a Piece Of Pizza.  You're About To Enjoy
                                                         The MASTER-PIECE!

I give Racanelli's 4 1/2 stars.  Their food tastes just as good warmed up.  If you have one in your town, I recommend giving them a try.  Oh, did I mention it comes at a good price?  I had the lunch special which was a 10" pizza, a small salad, and drink for $8.99.  Go get you one today.  Til Next time folks.................................................

One of those days..........or nights

Have you ever had one of those moments, "Did they really just say that?"  What about about,"Did that really just happen?"  Or may be just,"WTF."  I'm pretty sure we all have been there and done that and sometimes wish we hadn't. When that happens, we often find ourselves taking a step back (if we can) and taking a deep breath. In other cases, we need to leave the room to avoid saying something we may regret. Then there's the select few that just need to let off that steam that was created and punch the other guy/girl in the face. Ouch, I wouldn't want to be on the other end of that fist.

Have you ever noticed that when you get married, the first advice is, "Never go to bed angry. Talk about it and fix the problem before going to bed next to the person you're mad at." Or at least something along those lines. If you are married, how many times did you follow that advice? Did working it out help? Did it seem to be getting worse every time you spoke? Now that some time had passed, does things seem easier now? Here's my advice, I don't care how long you've been married, marriage is hard. However, as long as both of you are willing to work hard at it and make it work then you have a pretty solid marriage. Those of you doing it for the kids, stop. They were the problems, they see that you are no longer a team, and it hurts them too. Don't wait till they're grown up or just a little bit older to understand. No matter when you do it, it's going to hurt them just as much if not more, but the longer you wait, the harder it will be for them to accept it and move on. I've been there. I acted up and was labeled the bad kid and before I knew it, my life has changed.

I just thought I would talk to you guys for a little while, just some passing thoughts. Till next time folks...........

Dreams and Hobbies

Today I'm doing things just a pinch different.  I want to talk about something a lot of us think about all the time.  It's our way of life and if we don't get it just right, sometimes we can go a little crazy.  Instead of movies, I'm going to focus on dreams and hobbies.  So let's get started.

What's your Dreams and Hobbies?

We all tend to look for the things in life that make us happy.  Things that make us enjoy life just a little bit more.  The things that make us who we really want to be.  So what's your dreams and hobbies?  Are they one in the same? Does it bring out the real you? Does it make you happy?  Take a second and think about those answers well you read.

I'm learning that my dreams and hobbies are one in the same.  Those of you who really know me should know that my dream has always been music.  However, another dream of mine has been interior decorating and owning my own company.  I haven't put much effort in any of these dreams except music.  My hubbies on the other hand are now turning into my dream and that is a dream that is coming true.

Music was a big part of my life and it still is.  It's one of the things I love most in my life.  However, as I said before, I have a new passion and I have so much fun with it.  Baking!!!!!  Decorating Cakes and Cupcakes, making cinnamon rolls, and all types of different breads!  I've never had so much fun in my life.  Unlike my other dreams, this is one that I'm actually doing something about.

My demonstration cake (a friend is teaching me).

Father's Day cake (above) and a birthday cake for a co-worker (below)

 This was my Easter Cake.

This was my 4th of July cake.

These are just a few of what I have done so far.  I really do enjoy doing this and it's something I want to do and make a living out of it.  Some people find jobs just to make money.  When that happens, you can almost guarantee a lot of stressful days and nights.  Why not do the thing that makes you happy and makes you money?  In the end, our hobbies and dreams cost money just to keep doing what we love, the goal is making a profit.   So no matter what your dreams or hobbies are whether it is...........

Fashion
Or may be it's.......
Cake Designing

Cupcake Designing

It doesn't matter what your Dreams and Hobbies are, as long as the make you happy and you love doing it.  Enjoy life, enjoy being you.  I've shown you my side and there is more to come with my up coming events.  What's yours?  What inspires you?

Divergent

DIVERGENT
When you think of the definition of the word "DIVERGENT," you should think of this movie. The meaning of the word (for those who don't know) is, "Tending to be different of develop in different directions." Now if you have seen the movie or read the books then you should already know that this is very true for Tris and Four.  The very definition of the word really does make since for the this movie.  It has action, drama, and romance.  All of which I love in my choice of movies.  Although this may be backwards, after seeing this movie, I'm definitely intrigued enough to want to read the trilogy.  I can't wait for the second part to this movie.

To have some kind of injection that would tell you what kind of life you will lead is one that I'm most people would want.  However, to know that you are different from everyone else and having the option to choose your own destiny, seems like a pretty sweet deal.  Not having to worry about disappointing your family is the only thing that may hold you back from what you truly feel in your heart.  For many of us, we know what we should do (or at least what our parents what us or wish we would do), but we choose to follow our hearts instead.  In the end, we have to do what is best for us.

Divergent was definitely a great movie and worth every dime.  I give Divergent a 4 stars.  This is a movie worth adding to my collection.  Til next time folks...............................................

Rap music just isn't the same anymore

LET'S TALK RAP MUSIC

I'm back!!!!!  Today we are going to change things up a little bit.  Instead of movies, let's talk about how horrible rap music today really sucks.  If you are having the old school rap music blues, I'm right there with you.  What happened to the way music used to be.  Now a days you rap about anything and get signed.  Right now, the only rappers that didn't change much (lets be honest, you have to grow up sometime) is Luda and Busta.  I mean sure they've changed, but for the better (in my own opinion).  This Wiz guy, I mean the best song he did (in my opinion) was Black and Yellow. Then you got some dude named Waka Flocka, who?  I'm sure no one is REALLY paying these guys any attention.  Think about it.  It's the beats that these guys have that has everyone screaming, "Man this track is Hot!"  If they were really listening, I'm sure they would agree that this is garbage.

These guys out here rapping now are nothing like the legends that have made their marks.  They can't bring people together to enjoy their music.  You say you like this crap they're spitting these days?  Who's your favorite artist, and what is your favorite line?  Can you even name your favorite line?  Even those we once enjoyed is falling off.  Kanye West new album (I sampled it) doesn't even seem like him anymore.  My favorite line from one of his songs is, "Do anybody spit real sh-- anymore?" If someone was to ask me that question, I would have to answer no.  What happened to old school West and Jay?  Missing B.I.G and Pac right now.  NWA, Ice Cube, old school Luda and Busta, I mean the list just keeps growing.  Even old school Dr. Dre and Snoop.  What happened to rap?  Where did it truly go?  You can't even turn on the radio without hearing this "new school" rap.  Did they forget who put rap on the map? I talking about Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Queen Latifah, De La Soul, Mc Lyte, Kool G Rap, Kurtis Blow, and many many more.  They were the ones who started this. I mean yes you have your blues, R&B, jazz, country, so on and so on, but these legends changed the way we listen to music.  Rap has been changing year after year.  It went from good, to bad, to better, and now WTF.  I think a lot of these artist need to go back to the booth, put on their headphones, listen to what made rap the way it was, and start over.  The ones that lost their way need go back and listen to what made them hot and do it again.  I don't know what happen, but I know they can keep what ever it is they are calling the mess.  I'm better off without the radio and their so called rap music.

Well, that's all I have to say about that right now.  If you think I'm wrong (even though this is just my opinion) then leave a comment, tell me who you think I should listen to, or pick a song you think I should listen to.  If you can do that, I can listen and then I will post what I think.  Til next time folks.........

Jack Reacher

LET'S TALK MOVIES!!!!

When you are an army man (or woman) and you have been in trouble before, innocent or not the next time around, Jack Reacher will find you.  This movie had "some" action but over all a very well put together movie.  Reacher is not a man you can find, he finds you if he needs to.

A young man accused of random killings was arrested and when he was questioned at the station, he didn't ask for a lawyer, he asked for Jack Reacher.  Although he did have a lawyer, all she wanted to do was keep him off death row.  This young man was accused once before for the same reason, however the government let it go because of the type of men he killed.  Now I don't want to give too much away, this is a movie worth seeing.

Jack didn't care about anything but the facts and in his eyes, the facts shows that no matter what, the young was guilty.  The asked Jack to look closely at the scene of the crime and compare it to the evidence.  Once  he did, things got a little crazy.  Jack was attacked many times, however, that didn't stop him.  In the end, Jack Reacher found out the truth and realized that the young man was innocent.  Jack no longer had a reason to stay so he disappeared again.

Like I said, this is a movie worth seeing.  I give this movie a 4 1/2 stars.  Tom Cruise always gives his best in every movie he is in and he is a great actor.  Well, till next time folks........

The Croods

Let's Talk Movies!!!!

Here is a movie where things do go bump in the night, well, kind of.  The Croods are a family of six and as you can see, cavemen.  The world is changing and it doesn't look good for them.  The Croods appear to be the last of their kind until a young man named Guy meets Eep.  Grug didn't like Guy and he didn't like change.  Grug is the super protective type so making sure his family was taken care of was always number one.

Guy wasn't afraid of change and knew how to survive.  In fact, the only thing Guy was afraid of for a while were the Croods.  Soon everyone warmed up to one another and the only thing left to do was keep moving.  The Earth itself was changing and homes and families were being destroyed.  Although the Croods managed to survive, Guy's family wasn't so lucky.  Once they found a safer place to call home, the family of six became a family of seven.

This was a pretty good family movie.  I would take the children again if I could, it was well worth the money.  I know it doesn't seem as if the movie was any good, but this is one of those that you have to go see it yourself.  I give the this movie 4 1/2 stars, it made me laugh a lot.  Well, that's it all for now folks, till next time...........

LET'S TALK MOVIES!!!!

Fast and Furious 6

Let's Talk Fast 6!!!

Despite the fact that I am super late with this post, there are no words to discribe how SWEET this movie was.  We all know just how much I love my action movies.  Well, this is one of those great action movies.  When you see this movie, you can tell that making this movie cost Hollywood a lot of money.  All those cars getting smashed and crashed, but it was worth it.

The action doesn't start til Agent Hobbs pays Dominic Toretto a visit asking for his help.  Knowing that Dom wasn't going to just offer his help, agent Hobbs gives him a reason to say yes by telling him that Letty is still alive with a pic to show as proof.  Not taking any chances, Dom shows Brian O'Conner and his wife (Dom's sister) Mia, the possility that Letty is alive.  However Dom doesn't want O'Conner to help just in case things go south.  Mia doesn't care, if Letty is alive, she is family and everyone should help her get home.

All hands on deck now.  Everyone is called to help, Roman, Han, Gisele, and Tej.  Agreeing to help agent Hobbs in finding Shaw, things got a little messy.  Shaw was always 5 steps ahead of them because he had someone on inside.  However, the team wasn't aware of that issue til later on.  Dom has known Letty for years and knows everything about her, right down to the kind of cars she likes and how she drives.  In the middle of chasing Shaw, Dom comes face to face to a familar skill of driving and decides to follow it and soon found out for himself that Letty was very much alive, but she had no memory of him or her pasted life.

In the end, Letty realizes that Shaw never cared about her and that he was using her to get what he really wanted.  Shaw orders Letty to get on top of the tank to release the car that is slowing them down.  Once on top, the car that hanging off the tank get caught and Letty goes flying in the air and so does Dom in an attempt to save her not knowing that they would survive the fall.  At this point, Shaw is captured and everyone just wants to go home, or is he......

Shaw manages to find a way out of custody and tries to go catch a plane out of the country.  However, before he does, he reveals his little helper officer Riley, the young lady that has been helping agent Hobbs the whole time.  During the plane scene,  we find out just how much Han loves Gisele and how much she loves him back.  The team loses Gisele and leaves Han feeling very hurt.  Even though Letty has no memory of Dom, she was afraid that she had lost him as well.  Hobbs thanked everyone for their help and asked what they wanted, Dom's response was, in short to return back home.

For those of you who stayed after the credits rolled and for those who didn't, they did a flash back to Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.  This flash back was when Han was being chased by someone else and crashed and died.  Well, we find out who it was chasing him.  Although we don't have the characters' name yet, the actor in this scene is no one other than Jason Statham himself.  When you think about most of the roles he has played, this fits him perfectly.  I give this action packed movie a well deserved 5 stars.  For those wondering if this is it, the answer is no, there is talk of at least 3 more in the making.   Till next time folks.......
